Sam Gribly is the wild man.
He uses deer hide to be as warm as he can.
Sam uses his falcon to help him hut for food.
He uses turtle shells as bowls.
Sam lives inside a tree.
He finds a man named Bando.
Sam went to town and met a newspaper writer named Matt.
His family finds him in the Catskill mountains.
During the hunting season, Sam hides in the trees and waits for a deer to be shot so he can take it for
himself.
Sam always has a fire burning.
He makes a raft so he can go deeper into the water to catch fish
Sam Gribley is the wild man.

His Mountain
(based on the novel, My Side of the Mountain)
Sam Gribley leaves his home to roam and have a home in the woods.
There he meets and eats more than twenty animals.
During winter he must have enough stuff to make it through the tough winter.
He meets and greets, nicely not shyly, all the people who wish to have a dish with him.
I recommend this book for one reason, but don’t like it for another.
I enjoyed the boy who had joy making toys to use for survival, but not the boy who had
no friends in his hovel.
